This project was done for the Eastern Cape Province and is based on voluntary participation in training and capacity building for rain fed agriculture and household food and craft production. This project entailed various disciplines, mostly from the ARC and includes conservation tillage, vegetable production, grain production, mushroom cultivation and handcraft. An excellent working relationship was developed with the Eastern Cape Department of Agriculture and the local municipality. The project duration was three years, with funding of R1.75 million.
