We were involved in more than 25 irrigation schemes to pilot this programme over a period of 8 years and recent projects include design and installation of three irrigation schemes and animal housing facilities at an Agricultural College. We were responsible for infrastructure planning and design and liaison with stakeholders and technical coordination with MME. During the pilot phase we worked with Golder Associates (Africa) and WOMIWU. The total value of these projects was more than R100 million. RIEng also assisted in developing a sustainable approach for this revitalisation programme, based on capacity building and counter contribution.
